Exit Ramp

I passed up my exit. I’ve been driving over the speed limit, and doing a whole lot of spinning my wheels and blowing out my tires. I’m so focused on what I have to do, what I want to do, and what’s next to be done that I’ve missed my exit. My inspiration exit.

I’m moving at high speed but without any gas and I need to pull off the road. To stop and tap into the people and things which inspire me, which help to bring out the authentic me. That’s why I’ve been missing in action from this blog the past two weeks. I’ve been lacking my luster and have nothing to say. Nothing to write.

  1. Even when you don’t think you have nothing to say, your words still inspire.I can not wait to hear your brilliant, silly or comforting words.

  2. I find sometimes that you have to seek out experiences. I want to learn to take time to look around and enjoy the blessings God has given me. Life is going by too fast. I want to learn to slow down, relax and learn to laugh more. My children are growing up too fast and I want to create fun memories with them.

  3. Ellen, I agree you have to seek out new experiences, which means sometimes leaving your comfort zone. Life moves too fast, and slowing our pace to enjoy our blessings is always a good thing. Thanks for reading.

  4. When working in the corporate world I think we tend to miss a lot of inspiration exits. D you are truly blessed not to have to do so anymore. You are also truly blessed with dem writing skills, gal. I really appreciated the gratitude of “Leftovers”. Man, do they save an evening.

  5. Starla, you are one groovy chick. Your “coolness factor” never ceases to amaze me. When you spit out words like, “…dem writing skills, gal” it’s just priceless. You, my friend, are priceless. Thanks for reading my pages.

  6. Sometimes it’s just like that. We just need a break. But I have discovered that since I started using EverNote on my phone and computer to capture ideas for my blog, I’ve been blogging more regularly than I have in a very long time. I think it’s because I am more conscious of writing down observations when I first have them.

  7. Roxanne, I try to jot down ideas and observations when they hit me, too. I have stupid little notes all over my house with no particular rhyme or reason. I also use the notes function on my phone, computer, and KindleFire. You’ll have to school me on EverNote.
